Championing Hull’s black history
William Cline Bailey is a British contemporary jazz artist and drummer, born in Islington, London to Sierra Leonean parents. After years of studio work, he released his debut single Solitude in 2020, gaining airplay on JazzFM and other stations.
He has since released 3 EPs and 3 albums, known for blending jazz with other genres, influenced by legends like Herbie Hancock and Grover Washington Jr.
His groove-oriented style is gaining traction across Yorkshire and the Northeast.
William has performed live in Scarborough and contributed to CLAFRO JAZOP 5, promoting cultural cohesion through music in Hull.
He also hosts The Jazz Sessions on Radio Scarborough, a global broadcast aimed at demystifying jazz and growing its UK audience.
Founder of ClineBailey Productions, he continues to shape the jazz scene through music and media.
